Getting Here

The theatre does not have its own car park. Grand Canal Square Q-park is situated underneath the theatre. Its entrance is on Chimney View, off Pearse Street. The carpark has 160 spaces, 50 of which can be reserved in advance for an evening show or for a whole day (24hrs). It is not possible to pre-book a few hours during the day. Spaces can be pre-booked up to midnight on the day before a performance. It is not possible to make an advance booking on the same day. Early booking is strongly advised. An evening rate of €14 is applicable, from 6.00pm – midnight, when booked in advance, or €12 drive in. A 24 hr rate of €20 is applicable when booked in advance, or €28 drive in. The car park is €3.70 per hour.

The Convention Centre Dublin's underground car park, managed by Euro Car Parks, has 320 spaces and 8 disabled spaces. It operates from 7.00am to midnight, 7 days a week. Parking rates are €3.50 per hour or €18 per day, with an evening rate of €10 from 6.00pm to midnight. You can pre-book parking up to two weeks in advance in The CCD's underground car park here, please note a handling fee of €1 applies to each transaction.

The Marker Hotel has an unmanned car park (payment via credit card in/out) with 80 spaces available to the public. There is no facility to pre-book this car park. The entrance to the carpark is on Hibernian Road.

There is very limited on street parking around nearby Macken Street and Cardiff Lane.

There are numerous bike lock-ups and cycle lanes around the theatre. Be safe and always wear your helmet and hi-vis jacket!

The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is located at Grand Canal Square, just off Macken Street/Cardiff Lane, Dublin 2. All taxis will know where we are!

Routes 1, 47, 56a, and 77a all operate close to the theatre. Route 151 operates to the Docklands on the Northside, approximately a 15 minute walk away.

The closest Luas station is Mayor Square (NCI) on the Red Line, heading east towards The Point. The theatre is a 10 minute walk from the station (720m approx.)

On foot from the station, head east on Mayor Street Lower toward Guild St, turn right onto Guild St, continue onto Samuel Beckett Bridge, follow as road turns slightly left and becomes Sir John Rogerson's Quay, turn right onto Cardiff Lane, turn left onto Misery Hill and Bord Gáis Energy Theatre will be on the right.

The closest Dart stops to the theatre are Grand Canal Dock coming from south, and Pearse Street coming from north.

On foot from Grand Canal Dock, head north on Barrow St toward Ringsend Rd, turn left onto Ringsend Road, turn right onto Grand Canal Quay, continue straight to Grand Canal Square and BGE Theatre will be on the left.

On foot from Pearse Street, head east on Pearse Street, turn left onto Grand Canal Quay, continue straight to Grand Canal Square and BGE Theatre will be on the left.

Both Connolly Station and Heuston Station are accessible by Luas. While Connolly Station does have its own Luas station, it is necessary to cross on foot to Busáras station to take the right branch of the red line. For Heuston Station, the Luas station is located just outside the doors.
